Business Developer — Custom Solutions

Summary

SalesPad is seeking outgoing, business process-minded individuals to fill a business development role within our sales team, with a specific focus on custom software solutions.

Candidates should be comfortable speaking with customers to discuss their unique business processes and needs. With assistance from a business analyst and software developers, they will analyze processes, needs, and requirements to propose custom solutions that help businesses regulate, monitor, and improve the efficiency of their processes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conceptualizing solutions to complex business requirements.
  • Working with prospects to identify problems and create solutions to the root issue.
  • Assisting a business analyst and software developers in writing formal solution proposals.
  • Presenting formal proposals to key decision makers.
  • Promoting SalesPad’s services and capabilities through networking events, prospecting calls, web conferences, media outlets, etc.
  • Identifying opportunities for other SalesPad products and engaging appropriate internal resources as needed.
  • Using internal CRM systems to prospect new clients and maintain follow up.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Two to five years in a technical sales role, preferably in software.
  • General understanding of accounting, inventory management, and warehouse functions would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of digital product development, including: mobile apps, web, third party integrations, SQL
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting.
  • Willing to travel 10% to 20% locally and some nationally to customers to complete process reviews and discuss details of process improvements.
  • Experience creating and delivering proposals using SOWs, PowerPoint, Word, or similar methods.

Digital Marketing Specialist

Summary

SalesPad is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to assist in the distribution and placement of product and company marketing assets that are intended to drive more interest in SalesPad and optimize the buyer’s journey to conversion.  The ideal candidate will understand persuasive writing, direct marketing and be results-oriented.  Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position include the gathering of relevant stories and product information, researching, writing, editing and publishing SalesPad content on multiple platforms, with a goal of driving leads, increasing engagement and retaining customers.  Content to include white papers, case studies, blog posts, sponsored articles, Facebook & Linkedin posts, tweets, emails, website copy and more.  The Digital Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring and managing SalesPad’s social media sites.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Regularly generate blog and social content that corresponds with the SalesPad editorial calendar
  • Interview internal and external constituents to find compelling stories and educational content for the SalesPad content library (white papers, case studies, etc.)
  • Create shareable content appropriatefor specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
  • Work alongside other marketers and the team to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience and supports marketing goals
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Manager, manage various outbound and lead nurturing email campaigns, including creation of compelling calls-to-action, offer strategies and content
  • Regularly perform website content maintenance to ensure brand compliance and fit with new product enhancements and revisions
  • Build and monitor the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Create a system to manage multiple projects at once so that content delays (approvals, interviews, etc.) don’t create gaps in the publishing schedule or on any of SalesPad’s properties
  • Serve as the marketing liaison on the SalesPad Advocacy Network (SPAN) to ensure internal and external communication of all community outreach activities

Summary

Candidates will work with software developer’s on SalesPad’s custom software team when formulating proposals for customers to build quote packages of suggested process improvements.


Analysis Requirements

  • Ability to translate business processes into written word documents for software solutions.
  • Interpretive listening skills to dig for the root requirement or problem in a customer request instead of only listing the symptoms.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and seeks opportunities to provide value added solutions to meet business needs.
  • Performs data analysis and reporting for effective business decisions.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Conceptual understanding of mobile, web, SQL server, reporting and desktop software as it relates to creating seamless integrations.
  • Ability to understand integrations between 3rd party software APIs to SalesPad Software or solutions.
  • General business understanding of sales cycle, business workflow, and procurement.
  • General understanding of Accounting, Inventory Management, Warehouse Activities and Manufacturing would be a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, SSRS reporting, and C# is a plus.
  • Experience with Balsamiq® Mockups, or InVision® software is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Candidates should be willing to travel 5% nationally onsite to customers to complete processes reviews and discuss details of process improvements.

API Integration Developers perform a variety of programming assignments that require knowledge of established programming procedures and requirements.

  • Install and configure software to fit the client’s business needs

From there that developer is a team member, working on architecting, feature implementation, and bug fixing.
