Does DataCollection work with a cradled handheld or must it have constant and complete wireless connectivity?

DataCollection requires a constant connection to the wireless network. We do not support batch processing (scan a batch of items in a disconnected state and then upload that information at a later time). All of our processes are real-time, so the constant connection is required.

Does DataCollection allow site transfers between warehouses?

Yes. The function is called Inventory Transfer in DataCollection Desktop, and Site Transfers in DataCollection Mobile. Below is a screen shot of the function from DataCollection Desktop:
 

Inventory Transfer/Site Transfers moves items and quantities from warehouse to warehouse by queuing a Transfer transaction in a SalesPad® batch in GP. These transactions, along with Inventory Adjustments, must still be posted in GP.

Note: There is also an Inventory Transfer function in SalesPad® (Modules > Inventory Transfers), which queues transactions to be posted in GP.
