October 2011 www.salespad.net | sales@salespad.net | 616-245-1221 In This Issue: Advanced Order Entry Options | October Schedule SalesPad Featured Functionality-Advanced Order Entry Options Built for speed or built for power, SalesPad's advanced order entry options have it covered. SalesPad Matrix Order Entry... built for speed! Matrix Order Entry allows users to quickly enter orders for items with common attributes in a quick, easy grid view. Matrix Sales Entry Screen When an item associated with a matrix is added to a sales document, the Matrix Sales Entry screen opens, where the user is presented with pre-configured item attributes and simply enters the appropriate quantities for each combination. For example, a piece of clothing may be available in four colors and four sizes. The user enters the proper quantity for each color and size combination in the matrix view and the sales order is immediately populated with the appropriate line items and pricing. During setup, users indicate which inventory items are associated with a matrix and the various attributes of the item. Matrix entry can be used to add both standard inventory items and non-inventory items to a sales document. Matrix Item Definitions are created in SalesPad's Matrix Class Maintenance and are visible in SalesPad Inventory Lookup on the Inventory Matrix View tab. Item Sales Options gives users the power to add specialized details to items on an order. Item Options Screen When an item configured with Item Sales Options is added to sales document, a pop-up window appears, where the user specifies detailed characteristics for the line item. Item Sales Options can include check boxes, drop-down selection lists, free-form text, or even additional inventory items. Click on the screenshot for an example of a highly configurable plaque. Completed options are associated with the line item and may be viewed on-screen or printed on appropriate sales documents like a quote, order confirmation, or work order. Item Sales Options are configured in SalesPad Inventory Lookup on the Item Sales Options tab. Ready to set up Item Sales Options for your inventory items?
