SalesPad® Featured Functionality - Sales Document Tasks
For our latest major release, SalesPad added a feature called Scheduled Tasks, or Sales Document Tasks, which allows users to create CRM tasks on a customer card from a sales document, based on document characteristics and items on the document. The tasks can also be sent to sales reps' SalesPad Today calendars, or their Outlook calendars with the SalesPad GP Outlook Add-in.
Scheduled tasks can even be set up as part of workflow so eligible documents create tasks automatically.

Here are a couple of examples of where this feature would be particularly useful:
At the document level: An HVAC company that performs annual inspections on furnaces and air conditioners schedules reminders to contact customers for their annual inspections as they invoice the current inspection.
At the item level: A company selling water purification systems schedules a line item task based on the purchase of specific filters that have known estimated life spans. The reminder would be useful in contacting customers to replace their worn filter.
Watch the video to the right (or go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwb-INpz_9E ) to see how Scheduling Tasks works.
Security sub-settings and user fields control whether tasks show the document number or the item number(s), how far out tasks are scheduled, etc. The task created in the video is a document-level task, and to create an item level task, eligible items would first be selected on a user defined field in Inventory Lookup, or assigned based on serial number.
